Reaching this location requires a ton of precise parkour and a boss fight against the deadly Sister Splinter boss. However, once you reach the end of this grueling gauntlet in Shellwood, you’ll have one of the most useful exploration abilities in Hollow Knight Silksong. Of course, before reaching Shellwood, you need to make your way through the Far Fields and Greymoor.

How to Wall Jump

Despite being named Cling Grip, this ability functions exactly the same as it did in Hollow Knight, and for those who missed the old school feeling, it can be quite nostalgic. Just jump and hold the jump button, and when you release it, your character jumps off in the other direction. As long as a surface is flat, you can indefinitely keep clinging and climbing on it. This is a game-changer both in terms of exploration and combat.

The first use of the Wall Jump is to make your way inside Bellhart and face off against the boss there.

The Wall Jump unlocks several previously locked areas and new quests, such as the Skull Tyrant quest. It’s definitely worthwhile to go back and explore previous regions to fill out your maps.
