The Best Stormweaver Spark Build in Path of Exile 2 | Fast Map Clearer

Time to break PCs!

The Stormweaver Spark build is one of the flashiest Sorcerer builds in Path of Exile 2. The build fills your screen with lightning sparks, annihilating any enemy caught within the spark’s projectile path. The Stormweaver Spark is a great leveling build that can easily transition to the endgame with a few tweaks and changes to the build. We’ll cover the leveling and the endgame version of the Stormweaver Spark build in this complete Path of Exile 2 Sorcerer build guide.

Stormweaver Spark Leveling Build in Path of Exile 2

Stormweaver Spark Overview

This build uses the main skill, Spark, to fill the screen with lightning projectiles that go in different directions when cast. It fires several projectiles when cast, and you’ll scale (more projectiles on the screen) this even more with more cast speed and spell duration. The build uses the Sorcerer class for the Stormweaver ascendancy, which utilizes the permanent Arcane Surge buff from Constant Gale and uses Force of Will to increase the effect by stacking mana.

Arcane Surge gives the player more mana regeneration and cast speed, which will be permanently active for the Stormweaver class. Using these mechanics will clear out most of the enemies on your screen, and you’ll use a few curses like Conductivity to deal with rare monsters and bosses.

When you reach the endgame, the build will use the Archmage buff to scale the damage output further.

When starting a new character, Spark is immediately available, so you’ll use Spark from start to finish. Once you get support gems, focus on Arcane Tempo and Unleash gems first. For the third support gem, you’ll want Persistence for bosses and Pierce for area clearing.

Once you unlock the other skill gems, you should equip them immediately. Your main goal is to use Spark for all the easy enemies and use Orb of Storms and Conductivity on rare monsters and bosses for added damage. Mana Tempest will be your main source of burst damage, which should be used once the boss is under the Conductivity curse. This will drain your mana, so use a mana flask to prolong it a little more during your short burst windows. You’ll use this strategy up to the endgame.

Stormweaver Spark Passive Skills

As for the passive skill tree, there are a few clusters we want to path to, but some of them are dependent on what you currently need when leveling. Here are the clusters or the notable passive skills you need to remember:

  • Psychic Fragmentation – 12% chance for spell skills to fire two additional projectiles.
  • Pure Power – 2% increased Lightning Damage per 10 Intelligence.
  • Eldritch Battery – Converts all Energy Shield to Mana.
  • Enhanced Barrier – 25% increased Maximum Energy Shield; +1% to all Maximum Elemental Resistances.
  • Mental Perseverance – 10% of damage is taken from mana before life.
  • Adverse Growth – 20% reduced life regeneration rate; 20% of damage taken recouped as mana.
  • Stormcharged – 40% increased elemental damage if you have dealt a critical hit recently; 20% increased critical hit chance.
  • Touch the Arcane – 40% increased effect of Arcane Surge on you.
  • Critical Overload – 15% increased critical hit chance for spells; 15% increased spell damage if you’ve dealt a critical hit recently.

You first want to path to Raw Power, Path of Storms, Exploit the Elements, and Breath of Lightning. This gives you that “mandatory” power boost at the start of the campaign because the game is really difficult. Once you get more passive skill points, you want to respec out of Path of Storms, Exploit the Elements, and Breath of Lightning only when you can reach Stormcharged, Touch the Arcane, and Adverse Growth. This timing will usually be after you ascend your class to the Stormweaver, which is perfect since you’ll have Constant Gale active along with Touch the Arcane.

Once you have this tree, you will likely need more defense to avoid one-shots. Pathing to Mental Perseverance and Wide Barrier/Offensive Stance will be your main defensive nodes in the campaign. You must equip a shield with a good Block Chance rating to capitalize on these defensive nodes.

If you don’t have a problem with defense, you can path to Lightning Quick, Pure Power, or Electric Amplification. Do not get Eldritch Battery yet. It is only worth getting when you either get the second Ascendancy or reach the endgame and finally use the Archmage buff.

As for gearing in the campaign, try to get Maximum Life rolls on each gear piece while getting a few resistances up. You can do this using simple crafting strategies, such as Orb of Transmutations and Orb of Augmentations. Cast speed is good enough on rings since getting good stats early in the game for jewelry will be hard. Your preferred weapon would be a wand with +4 to all spell skills or lightning spell skills, cast speed, and %spell damage. These are hard to acquire, so you can settle for weaker stats until you get better ones.

The playstyle will revolve around the same skill rotations. However, you’ll struggle more with mana conservation since you won’t be using Mana Remnants. You can swap out Mobility for Inspiration on Spark if your mana problems are too severe.

The switch to the Archmage takes your damage output to a different level as the damage scales up even more when you have more mana. For each 100 Maximum Mana you have, you’ll gain 5% extra damage for your Spark.

With Eldritch Battery turning all your Energy Shield into Mana and several Maximum Mana nodes on your passive tree and gear, your Stormweaver Spark Archmage Manastacker build will finally be active.

You’ll experience a massive increase in damage, but you’ll need to solve your mana problems first. Mana regeneration passive skill nodes will help with this issue when you level up to 70 or more. Nodes like Insightfulness and Ether Flow are two great options for more mana.

Ultimately, you’ll want to scale your damage by adding as much Maximum Mana to your character as possible.
