How Does the Revive Spell Work in Clash of Clans?

If only it resurrects all the heroes together...

The Revive spell seems to be a game-changing spell addition in the TH17 major shake-up in Clash of Clans. As the name suggests, it revives units in the middle of battle, but how exactly does the Revive spell work, and how should you use it in Clash of Clans? Here’s everything you need to know about the Revive spell in Clash of Clans’ TH17 update.

How to Use the Revive Spell in Clash of Clans

Even if the Revive spell seems a bit unorthodox, it still works like all the other spells in the game. You drop the spell in battle and it does its effect. The Revive spell specifically revives fallen heroes in the middle of battle.

When a hero falls in battle, they’ll have a Revive spell icon on top of them. If you drop the Revive spell, the hero will revive on the same spot with the appropriate health points depending on the level of your Revive spell. Here are the hitpoint thresholds per level:

If there are two or more fallen heroes in one area, the Revive spell revives the nearest one to the center of your spell drop. The Revive spell can only resurrect one hero, and it can also revive a flying hero like the Minion Prince or the Grand Warden in flying mode.

Since it uses up two-spell space for your attack, its usage or usefulness is very questionable. You have to wait until your hero falls, and playing for your hero to die in battle isn’t exactly good.

You can literally use a Rage or Healing spell to help your hero live instead of waiting for it to fall and reviving it. At least other units will also get to use the spell effects.

The only usage forthe Revive spell is to use it on a hero that has been clearing the sides and fell in battle. Once the main army starts clearing toward this other hero, you can use a Revive spell to redirect more damage to it and also support the main army. The Revive spell will most likely see usage on the Barbarian King since it has the most health points and it’ll be able to soak up more damage from the defenses.

How to Unlock the Revive Spell in Clash of Clans

To unlock the Revive Spell, you need to have a Spell Factory upgraded to level 8, which is at Town Hall level 15. If you are far away from Town Hall 15, it’ll take months or even a year to reach it if you don’t play consistently.

However, there is no point in rushing to use the Revive spell, as it is too inefficient for its spell capacity at the moment. The use is too niche for casual use, so it’ll really depend on whether you want to try it or not. If you are eager to try it out, make sure to capitalize on your Helpers Hut and prioritize these upgrades and research.

Once you unlock the Revive Spell, it’ll have four levels:

  • Level 1 – Hero revives at 60%
  • Level 2 – Hero revives at 65%
  • Level 3 – Hero revives at 70%
  • Level 4 – Hero revives at 75%

Maybe even if the spell resurrects a hero for 100%, it might still not be enough, but we’ll see some cool strategies with the spell – hopefully soon in competitive Clash of Clans.
