It only looks complicated at first.

When playing gacha games like Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, you always want to start cleanly, as each mistake may either cost you a lot of time in terms of progression or may even tempt you to spend some money to catch up. You want to start as perfectly as possible and here’s the best beginner’s guide to follow in Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade.

Always play to complete full clearance (3-star missions)

The best time-saver is to complete all missions with a “perfect” clearance, which means not losing a single character during the mission. This is fairly easy, and once you have unlocked auto-battles, you don’t even have to try. You just want to save as much time as possible when progressing and clearing missions you can barely 2-star is going to take a lot of your time.

In specific situations where you are using Gojo the Strongest, you want to have as much damage as possible because he withdraws from the fight after a certain time, making you technically “lose” a character even if everyone is healthy on your team. This is an annoying downside to playing Gojo, but at least he is one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Upgrade your ultimate skill first

Each character has four skills, and you have to upgrade them individually using specific items. Since these upgrade items are limited, you always want to be thrifty and upgrade your ultimate skills first. They provide the best damage boost, and most formation setups rely on spamming ultimate skills to clear stages.

Don’t be afraid to mass sweep mission stages for grade enhancement items

When you are lacking cursed items or any items used for grade enhancement, don’t be afraid to dump all your AP into it. Some missions drop more than two of a single item, but you will always need these for all your characters, so it is good to stock up.

Focus on upgrading your first five memories

When you are starting the game, you want to focus on at least five memories to upgrade. Five is the perfect number, so each member, including your assistance slot, will have the best memory equipped. Memories are basically a character’s equipment or gear, which makes it a crucial part of increasing their combat power.

Save free Cubes until you have enough to pity an SSR

While most players will look at a banner and try to pull for the SSR character, they often forget about the pity system in each banner. If you hover over a banner, you’ll see an exchange button next to the pull button. In this exchange window, you’ll be able to secure the SSR character by exchanging 250 points. Each 10 pull, which is 3,000 free Cubes, will give you 10 points. This means that you need 75,000 Cubes for a guaranteed SSR character.

That is a ridiculous number. As a free-to-play player, you have no choice but to save enough to secure a guaranteed character. This is important because when the banner ends, these points will be converted into JP or other materials.

Complete dailies as consistently as possible

Seeing as how you need so many Cubes to make use of the previous tip, you want to consistently finish daily missions to get as many free Cubes as possible. Luckily, most missions only require you to consume AP and finish missions rather than present incredibly specific objectives. Apart from the dailies, you also want to take advantage of Domain Investigations, as this content gives you resources needed for upgrading your skills.

Avoid using a formation with all attackers

While you might want to use all the highest-rarity characters you have, you’ll eventually want a formation that plays well with each other. You cannot do that if everyone’s position is an attacker, for example. You want to mix in some characters that either debuffs the enemy or buffs and enhances your party to deal more damage or survive longer.

It is worth noting that other characters may have the “attacker” position but they are a hybrid support/attack character. An example of this would be Aoi Todo Blast from the Past which gives an ally the Best Friend buff to improve their damage significantly. Play around characters like these and ones that can put debuffs on enemies so you can one-shot all the missions.
