What is the Heart of a Dynasty in NBA 2K25’s MyCareer Mode?

NBA 2K25’s MyCareer mode pushes the player straight to the NBA without a draft or anything in between. However, you’ll get introduced to the Heart of a Dynasty mode, which is optional and accessed through the quest tab. But what is the Heart of a Dynasty game mode in NBA 2K25’s MyCareer Mode, and is it worth playing?

Heart of a Dynasty Mode in NBA 2K25, Explained

Heart of the Dynasty is a mode where you can experience your journey or path that led you to the NBA. Since MyCareer automatically skips to the NBA, where you play for a team of your choice, 2K added the Heart of a Dynasty to let players experience other games like high school, college, and other events.

Here are the chapters or challenges you’ll face in order:

• Dynasty vs The Wolfpack
• Illinois State Tournament
• FIBA U19 2023 USA Basketball World Cup
• Open Run Event by Jalen Brunson

Each chapter plays a big role in your journey to the NBA. They also have unique challenges that give you some cosmetics, such as jerseys, shoes, and other equipment. If you are able to finish all the challenges in each chapter, you’ll also get some bonus VC, which is incredibly useful to improve your character.

If you didn’t get any VC from any other source and you are playing MyCareer, you’ll need every help you can get because you’ll start at a 60 overall rating. You can start playing the Heart of Dynasty and take advantage of the VC and the bonus VC from the challenge.
