How to Get Heat Plasma Battery in The First Descendant

Batteries for your Energy Activators!

Energy Activators are most likely the hardest material to farm in The First Descendant. You’ll need multiple materials from Encrypted Vault or even difficult Infiltration Operations from all over the region. Heat Plasma Batteries, one of the main materials used to craft Energy Activators, come to mind as one of the hardest materials to farm in Infiltration Operations. Here’s how to get a Heat Plasma Battery in The First Descendant.

Where to Get Heat Plasma Batteries in The First Descendant

Heat Plasma Batteries drop from two main Duty of the Descendant missions (also known as Infiltration Operations or Calling of the Descendants): The Haven and Old Mystery. Both of these missions take 10 or less minutes to finish and are located in the Hagios region. If you are extremely fast in clearing enemies and running around, you can push it to sub 2 or 3-minute completions.

You don’t have to unlock hard mode to get these Heat Plasma Batteries. They drop from both normal and hard modes.

However, there’s also a strategy you can do to farm these more efficiently. You should run The Haven mission and rush to the 1st objective of the mission, which is destroying the Vulgus objects after destroying a specific number of Vulgus enemies. After you destroy the 2nd Vulgus object, you’ll see a commander that will spawn.

This commander will drop the Heat Plasma Batteries; you don’t need to finish the whole mission to get them. Eliminate the commander and then loot the drops. Afterward, you can open the main menu and quit the mission by selecting “Return to Albion.” Go back to the Infiltration Operation device, select The Haven mission again, and repeat until you get enough Heat Plasma Batteries.

This is the best farming strategy to get Heat Plasma Batteries because it will only take less than 2 minutes to finish one run. It is up to you which difficulty you want to run this farming strategy. I highly suggest doing this on private operations or solo so you don’t encumber other players. If you need Amorphous Material Patterns, you can finish the mission as well.

What Are Heat Plasma Batteries Used For?

Heat Plasma Batteries are mainly used to research the following items:

  • Executor Polymer Syncytium Blueprint – needs 18 Heat Plasma Batteries
  • Energy Activators – needs 55 Heat Plasma Batteries

Energy Activators unlock the maximum potential of any Descendant or weapon by improving their module capacity by a whopping 20 slots. However, you can only use it once per Descendant or weapon. This enhancement material is one of the hardest materials to farm. Even if it needs 55 Heat Plasma Batteries, the other materials needed to craft Energy Activators will be harder to acquire.
