What to Do After Reaching Max Level in The First Descendant

Time to get the Ultimate Bunny!

The max level in The First Descendant isn’t clear because you can end up reaching the max level but see other content requiring higher levels than the max. It is mainly because The First Descendant will increase the maximum level through major patches and updates. However, the game is pretty straightforward when it comes to its leveling system. Here’s what you should do after reaching the max level in The First Descendant.

Things to Do After Reaching Max Level in The First Descendant

Finish Exclusive Descendant Missions

When you get or unlock a new Descendant, you’ll see an exclusive quest chain for that specific character. These exclusive quests provide you with some backstory to all the characters, and in the end, you might get some materials unlocking another Descendant.

Finish Void Missions for Modules

When it comes to looter shooters, farming will be roughly 90% of the game. Void Missions are one of the main ways to get some Modules, but you also get some cool materials from finishing them. These Void Missions have some cooldowns, and some missions even require you to farm Void Shards.

Farm Ultimate Weapons and Upgrade Them

If you go to Anais, you’ll notice you can research and craft some Ultimate weapons. You can think of these weapons as legendary rarity weapons, but they just call the rarity Ultimate. These weapons are some of the best weapons in the game, but you will still need to upgrade the weapons through Weapon Transmissions because they all start at level 1 once crafted.

Farm Materials to Research New Descendants

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of materials you need to farm to unlock Descendants, especially if you are going for the Ultimate versions of a Descendant. Players are even up in arms just because of how you’ll spend the next hundred or so hours to farm the materials for Ultimate Bunny.

However, that’s how these free-to-play games are designed. You can pay to get Calibers and buy these new Descendants if you want. But you can also farm them, which is the main point of the game. If you buy all these Descendants, what is left to farm? Maybe some stronger weapons, perhaps? It is up to you how you want to play the game, and there is no right or wrong here.

What is the Max Level in The First Descendant?

At launch, the max level is only at 40. However, it’ll continuously go up as they introduce more major patches. You can already see that the Void Intercept Battles (Hard) have already reached level 120. It is a good way to keep all the players on par with each other as The First Descendant introduces more exciting features in the game.
