If there’s one thing Korean MMORPGs are good at, it’s making gorgeous classes with flashy moves. But not all classes are built the same. There are four classes in Night Crows, and each class gets their own subclass.

The best class will depend on your personal playstyle. For early game PvP wins, then Warrior is the class to choose. The Warrior offers ample crowd control, and while the Vanguard subclass is stronger, the Spearman subclass offers status resistance. The Warrior’s downside is that it’s slow to farm.

For mid-game, the Swordsman (Dualsword) is a slow start but really begins to hit its stride as you level, at which point it will excel in PvP. Similarly, the Hunter (Rogue) takes some time to get off the ground but will excel in mid-to-late game PvE.

But the absolute best class for the late game is the Hunter (Archer). The Hunter suffers from being a glass cannon. But once you reach the endgame, the Hunter is capable of decimating in PvE. The Rogue is also decent in PvE mid-game, but won’t excel in PvP, so it’s a lesser pick compared to the Archer.

Unfortunately, the Witch and its subclasses aren’t particularly good in either category. While the Scholar’s healing is useful for dungeons, the Hunter is categorically better than the Witch in every category. With luck, we’ll see a buff for Witch and its subclasses soon.

Warriors use two-handed swords and inflict melee damage. Once a warrior obtains their Scroll of Advancement in Main Quest Chapter 8, they can choose to become a Vanguard or Spearman. The Vanguard is an evolution of the warrior’s build, as it uses two-handed swords but can charge into enemies. Spearman, on the other hand, uses spears to attack multiple targets at once, or more distant targets. By using their spear, Spearman can also pull multiple enemies closer or seal them by binding them.

Swordsman may sound like it’d just be the Vanguard. But the Swordsman utilizes shields, and it’s better for more defensive-style combat. Once a Swordsman advances, they can choose to become a Solider or a Dualsword. A Soldier uses shields to reduce incoming damage using barriers and can either pull opponents or taunt them to get their attention. To that end, Soldiers excel at being tanks. Dualswords, on the other hand, use Twin Swords that heal as they attack and nullify their enemies’ Enhancement Effects while getting those critical hits.

The Hunter class is a standard ranged class that utilizes bows. And as you might expect, its subclasses are Archer and Rogue. Archer has the longest range attack in the game and is capable of blinding, knocking back, or subjugating opponents to ensure that distance is maintained. Rogues, on the other hand, utilize stealth to ambush enemies to achieve critical hits. They’re also capable of using silence, binding, and other debuffs.

The Witch, like the Hunter, uses long range attacks but focuses on elemental abilities. Witches can advance into either the Professor or the Scholar. The Professor excels at hitting multiple targets and is capable of freezing enemies. The Scholar, on the other hand, is a support class that can heal and buff allies. Unfortunately, the class needs allies to see its full potential.
