By now, many people who have played Final Fantasy 7 Remake have put countless hours into the game. With party members who have hit the level cap, and can easily defeat whatever they may come across. But, can this progress be transferred to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
Does Save Progress Transfer from FFVII Remake to FFVII Rebirth?
It makes sense that players who have invested a lot of time into Final Fantasy 7 Remake will wonder whether or not that progress will transfer over to its sequel, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Especially considering it is a direct continuation of the story from the first game. Sadly though, progress will not carry over, and players will start FF7 Rebirth completely fresh.
It can be disheartening to know that all your hard work will not be evident in the new game. Your strong party members, equipment, Materia, and more, stuck in Remake purgatory forever. But, on the other hand, a fresh start means you get to experience the game the way it should be intended. Without rushing through and defeating everything with a single wallop of the Buster Sword.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Save File Benefits
That is not to say that there is no point in keeping hold of your save file. As if you have an FFVII Remake save file on your system, the game will reward you with a special item. You’ll even receive a second item if you have the EPISODE INTERmission DLC.
- Final Fantasy 7 Remake – Leviathan Summon Materia
- EPISODE INTERmission – Ramuh Summon Materia
To obtain these bonuses, navigate to the Save Data Bonus menu option on the main menu of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and you will be able to unlock them. Congratulations, you have found what Clive and Co. could not.
If you are yet to purchase or play Final Fantasy VII Remake, there is no better time than the present. Not only is the sequel fast approaching, and excitement never been higher, but you can purchase a twin pack which includes Remake and Rebirth together for the same price that Rebirth retails for singularly. A great deal!
