Four New Pokemon Characters Revealed For Upcoming X and Y Games

Gotta catch 'em all – especially the attitude-laden panda.

With Pokemon X and Y stomping its way towards a 3DS release later this year, fans of the franchise are probably wondering if any additional Pokemon types would be announced for the game.  You guys can breathe a sigh of relief, because the answer is a resounding “yes”.

The latest issue of Japanese publication CoroCoro Magazine has revealed the four new characters that will be featured in the games.  You’ve got Yanchamu, a panda that knows how to fight (just look at that stance!); Gogoat, a Grass-type Pokemon with an interesting green frock; Yayakoma, a hummingbird-type Pokemon that’s rather speedy; and an electric powered Pokemon named Elikiteru, which can use a Parabola Charge to strike its enemies.

These four join the previously announced Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Sylveon and Xerneas, and you can probably bet even money that Nintendo has even more characters to announce – perhaps in just a few weeks’ time when E3 takes place.

You can “catch ’em all” when Pokemon X and Y hits store shelves this October for the Nintendo 3DS.  We gotta update our Pokedex…
