How to Make a Parrot Get Off Your Shoulder in Minecraft

If you want to get a parrot off your shoulder in Minecraft, there are a couple of ways you can do it; you can simply jump (by default, it’s the spacebar on PC, A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, A on Nintendo Switch, and A on Nintendo WiiU). After you start falling, your character will automatically “lose” the parrot from your shoulder. The other way is to just fall off a ledge.

The significant bit for both of these maneuvers is that you should fall for at least two blocks of height in Minecraft to make sure that the parrot will jump off your shoulder. However, be careful not to engage in more extreme falls because you can and will take fall damage.

You can also get rid of your Parrot by jumping in the water. As you may know, most birds dislike water, and it’s not very different in Minecraft either.

Taking damage (or, even worse, dying) in Minecraft also makes the Parrot go away. I suggest sticking with the above two strategies because they are the least harmful (or at least have the least potential to cause harm to your character).
