When you get started in Palworld, chances are that you set up your first base in the most convenient area you could find. Eventually, you will likely want to move your base to a new location and I’m here to help you get that done in this guide.
Palworld – How to Move Bases to a New Location
You need to deconstruct the Palbox at your current base and place a new one to move your base to a new location. You can do this by interacting with the Palbox in person, or from the map itself. This allows you to choose a new spot without having to return to the original location of your base. The entire base system in Palworld is set around the radius of your standard Palbox, which makes placing one down that much more important. If you decide to deconstruct your current one, you will receive your previous resources and you can head to a fresh spot.
Once you find the location you want, all you need to do is set up your benches and create a fresh Palbox like you did before. As long as you destroyed the Palbox from the previous camp, there won’t be any issues placing down a new version. But once your first base has been leveled up to ten, you will be able to place down a second base.
Within multiplayer servers, you can join guilds with other players and that can change the way that Palboxes function. Just like everything else in Palworld, guilds have a progression system that allows you to unlock more functional Palboxes in the same world.
You won’t lose everything when you deconstruct a Palbox but that doesn’t mean there are no negatives. All of your Pals will remain in the same state and can easily transfer back over with a fresh box. However, all of your structures need to be crafted from scratch. So, get ready for a lot more farming any time you want to move your base.
How to Create a Second Base in Palworld
To create a second base, you need to reach level 10 in your Palbox upgrades. As soon as you have 10 different slots for Pals on your base, it’s time to start thinking about where to place the second settlement. All you need is minimal amounts of stone, wood, and Paldium to make another Palbox for your second base.
The second base can potentially go anywhere you want on the map and will serve as another permanent base of operations that you can travel to or use for workstations. Doubling your overall space is the best boon of all.
How Many Bases Can You Have in Palworld?
You can make a total of three bases in Palworld. The second base unlocks after reaching level 10 in the Palbox upgrades and the third base option unlocks after level 15. Each one of your three settlements counts as a permanent location on the map, which means more chances to farm materials and more areas to use for Fast Travel.
Make sure to pick diverse areas so that you have a base of operations in the most important sectors. Otherwise, you will be wasting your resources to gather materials you already have.
