Should You Join a Guild in Palworld – Answered

Long distance buddies!

Palworld boasts a large world that offers a range of unique gameplay experiences. From solo, four-player multiplayer, to dedicated 32-player servers. Playing with one another will allow you to create and run Guilds. But should you?

Is Joining a Guild Worth It in Palworld?

Guilds are generally a collaborative space where players can work together effectively to make more progress than one would solo. So, it makes sense that players would want to create and join Guilds in Palworld. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Pocketpair has some work to do with the way that the Guild system works, and I would not recommend creating a guild at this time.

The Downsides of Joining a Guild in Palworld

When you join a Guild that someone has created, the guild base becomes a shared entity and is restricted in the same way that it would be if it was only run by one individual. Nothing is duplicated or improved by having additional guild members. If you do not join a Guild, both players can each have their individual base and productivity will be doubled.

After you’ve played the game for a substantial amount of time, you’ll unlock the ability to have a secondary base. In theory, a guild could use this to offer a second base to another member, so that each has their own. But, if you weren’t in the guild, you would have two each, and a total of four.

The Positives of Joining a Guild in Palworld

Right now, the downsides to joining a Guild are significant enough that it should be avoided until this is corrected in the future. However, if you do not care about additional bases, faster progression, and enhanced productivity, there is a benefit to joining a Guild, which is that all guildmembers can see one another on the map. This is quite a handy feature, as the map is rather large, and enables players to quickly reach one another.

This will likely be changed in a future update, but for now, the recommendation is to not join a guild and maintain all of the benefits of having your own Base whilst also playing alongside other people. It’s the best situation currently available for people looking to play together in Palworld.
