Find out more about this mysterious new character.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 does an excellent job of introducing new villains into the story, but what about a possible new hero? Players are introduced to Cindy Moon, but those out of the loop may not know exactly how important she is, so let’s find out together.

What Makes Cindy Moon Important In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

Warning: End Game Spoilers

This article discusses massive endgame spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so continue reading at your own risk.

During the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man, we see Miles Morales lose his father in an attack orchestrated by Mister Negative, pushing him to become one of the most horrifying villains in the original game. Since a fair amount of time has passed since the events of the first game and the spin-off, it seems that Rio Morales is ready to enter the dating game once again.

Throughout the story, she hints that she has been going on dates with a mysterious man, who is later revealed to be Albert Moon, a character that doesn’t carry as much importance as his daughter, Cindy. But what makes Cindy Moon important if her dad is almost a write-off character?

Well, Cindy, in the comics at least, was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Peter Parker his powers. This means we could have a third Spider-person in the mix, with Cindy Moon eventually donning the moniker of Silk. This could be big for players hoping for a third entry in the series, especially with Peter seemingly taking a break from being Spider-Man.

Does this mean we may see some DLC going further into her backstory, or will future updates be more focused on Venom and his reimagined origins? It’s hard to say at this point, but you can color me intrigued at this point.

While Silk may be one of the newest Spider-people, she’s got nearly 10 years of backstory to catch up on. If you hope to catch up, you can start with her first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #1 and continue from there. Since we may have a few years before seeing her take the spotlight, you should have plenty of time to learn more about your new favorite Spider-Woman.

Whether you’re a Spider-Man fanatic or need to read through some of the comics to catch up to the lore, we’ve got you covered in our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 section below.
