Madden NFL 24: How to Perfectly Score From a Field Goal

Score points with ease, no matter the situation on the field.

Field goals are an essential part of the game of football. To be honest, it has become a lot more important in recent years, with kickers sometimes trying to score field goals from inside their own half to make sure they win the game for their team, especially if it’s in overtime and their last play on their drive. In this guide, I’ll be discussing field goals and what factors to consider when kicking for points in Madden NFL 24.

How to Perfectly Score From a Field Goal in Madden NFL 24

To perfectly score from a field goal in Madden NFL 24, you need to take into account the distance, angle, and kicker, and your timing must be perfect or close to it. Also, players must know how to use the left analog stick to their advantage. If you push down on the left analog, the kick will act more like a bullet kick and have a lower trajectory. If you pull back on the analog stick, the kick will lift more into the air. Moving left and right with the left analog will determine the direction of the kick.

Field goals work the same as three-click swings in golf. Getting your timing right is really all that matters when your field goal is straight down the middle of the field. If it’s a little bit to either side, then it’s best to kick across the poles and let the center of the ark be in the middle of the poles.

This means that when the field goal kick is on the left-hand side, hold the analog stick to the right (not all the way) and if the kick is more on the right-hand side of the field, hold the analog stick to the left (again, not all the way) and make sure the line of the trajectory of the kick crosses over the middle of the poles and the tips of the lines end on the opposite side of the kicker.

The wind barely plays a part in your kick, if at all. If it does, I’m failing to see it have an effect on any of my field goals. The distance has a big role in whether you make it or not, and that, in turn, means your kicker’s ratings matter.

When’s the Best Time to Kick a Field Goal in Madden NFL 24?

The best time to settle for a field goal is when you have seconds left on the clock, in the first or second half. Also, if it’s your last resort on a 4th down and you’re close enough to the poles, then go for goal. But how close is close enough? It will depend entirely on your kicker’s ability. However, 35 yards out should be the threshold when attempting a field goal for points.
