In Argument of Controller For Armored Core 6 – Pros and Cons

No matter if this is your first Armored Core game or if you’ve been a veteran pilot for years, there is just something so harmonious about controlling your mech in the palm of your hands. Armored Core 6 feels fast and fantastic to play, and if you’re familiar with other FromSoftware games, you’ll be right at home with the control scheme.

Sure, there are a few actions that are slightly cumbersome, like needing to reload by holding a button and then selecting the weapon that you want to reload, but if you’re hoping for the most comfortable way to play Armored Core 6, a controller is your way to go. While you are able to auto-lock onto opponents, your general aiming may be a little less than perfect compared to other controller methods.

Mechs feel snappy and responsive and follow your thumb as best as possible. No matter if you’re a master at the previous games that the company has brought to market or you’ve never experienced the joy of a fast-paced mech game, it feels fantastic on any gamepad you choose to play with.

In Argument of Keyboard & Mouse For Armored Core 6 – Pros and Cons

Now, on the complete other side of the map, should you consider using a keyboard and mouse to play through the latest FromSoftware epic? Multiple folks here at Prima Games have decided to give it a whirl and can’t imagine going back to using a controller in this adventure.

Aiming is going to be the main factor here if you’re not a fan of Hard-Lock. With mouse aiming, you can nail precision shots no matter where you are without worrying about going in the wrong direction. You can also pull off some masterful maneuvers if you can control your mouse the way that champions do.

However, it may take a while to get used to all of the different keyboard configurations and where the keys are placed. This could be harder than getting past the tutorial Helicopter boss for some, especially if they’re not normally keyboard & mouse gamers. There are a lot of controls in this particular adventure, so you’re going to need to take the time to go through the tutorial missions so you aren’t missing out on anything.

So, to wrap things up, it’s really up to personal preference. If you’re one that is hoping to have a speedy and nimble build for your Mech, you may like playing with a controller more. If you’re hoping to be the most precise shot in all of Rubicon, you should consider using a keyboard and mouse. Be sure to try them out at any time so you’re always ready for whatever comes your way.
