How to Beat AH12 HC Helicopter in Armored Core 6 (AC6)

The first of many.

Armored Core 6 is not going to be a walk in the park. Whether you’re a FromSoftware veteran or just a mech sicko, AC6 will push you to your limits. The first boss of the opening mission is no pushover. Here’s how to beat the AH12 HC Helicopter boss in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

How to Beat the First Boss in Armored Core 6

You’ll need to use a few different tactics to defeat the AH12 HC Helicopter in Armored Core 6. First off, use your Assault Boost, which allows you to fly forward fast in a direction. Hit the ‘Ctrl’ key on your PC to activate this dash and hurl yourself directly at the helicopter. Once close enough, use your left-mouse click melee attack to get two swings on this. You won’t be hit by projectiles while dashing, and the two melee hits will do a massive chunk of damage and stagger.

Once your dash resets, rinse and repeat this pattern to defeat the AH12 HC Helicopter with ease.

We also recommend staying directly underneath the boss when letting your boost gauge refill. If you’re below the chopper, its missiles and bullets won’t be able to hit you.

You can also use the buildings on the battlefield to hide behind for some quick cover. Don’t stay on the ground too long, as the splash damage from the incoming projectiles will surely hit you.

This is just the first of many hurdles you’ll come across in AC6. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about builds, FCS, or the correct weapons for this helicopter fight, as it’s the opening mission, and your inventory is locked. So rejoice in not having choice paralysis just yet.
