Where to Find the Rancor in Jedi Survivor

They're a long way from Dathomir.

Fallen Order was full of dangerous beasts for Cal Kestis to fight as he remembered his training, but in Jedi Survivor the danger goes a step up with iconic additions. Beasts like the Wampa and the Rancor make an appearance in the game, and as you might expect, they aren’t easy fights.

The Rancor specifically is a rare find in Jedi Survivor and is always used as a boss fight, rather than as a tough enemy like the Wampa. You’ll need to be ready for a tough fight, especially in the early game, but we’ll outline how you can find the iconic beast in this guide.

Jedi Survivor – Where to Find the Rancor

There are two major Rancor fights in Jedi Survivor. One of them is considered a Legendary Beast and the other is a standard boss fight. You can find the standard version fairly early in the game. Once you’ve reached Rambler’s Reach on Koboh, there will be a Meditation Point outside the outpost. If you’re facing the outpost from the Meditation Point, you can find the first Rancor by taking a direct left.

Heading left will bring you to a cave entrance where you need to climb an old pipe. Heading down the cave will bring you to the Sodden Grotto. At the end of the Sodden Grotto, you’ll find another Meditation Point and a Rancor waiting in the open area below. Defeating the beast is difficult, and it took me a couple of tries first. I took my time and waited for counterattacks to get the advantage, as well as utilizing jump attacks.

The other Rancor is much more dangerous and can be found at the bottom of the Phon’Qi Caverns. These caves can be reached from Pyloon’s Saloon or from the Foothill Falls, but you’ll need some late-game abilities to make your way there. You’ll also find another boss fight at the end of the cave that includes a crossguard lightsaber enemy, so be prepared for a battle in Jedi Survivor.
