Does the Stealth Vest Block Advanced UAV in COD DMZ? – Answered

Which vest is right for the job?

New Plate Carriers were added to the Call of Duty: DMZ mode with the arrival of Season 3, and while each one provides some great bonuses, there are two that most players swear by. One of those is the 3-Plate Stealth Vest due to the baked in Ghost Perk that the armor has.

While having a passive Ghost Perk that blocks UAV may sound like a no-brainer on your 3-Plate armor, there is more to worry about than the standard UAV killstreak. In this COD DMZ guide, we’ll go over whether Advanced UAV is effective against the this vest and how the Comms Vest comes into play.

COD DMZ – Does the Stealth Vest Block Advanced UAV?

The short answer to the question is no, the 3-Plate Stealth Vest will not block an Advanced UAV killstreak. This can be applied to the Plate Carrier bonus that you get with this equipment, or even the Ghost Perk that can be acquired with random exfil streaks in the mode. Either way, Ghost will never help hide you from the better version of the UAV.

Many players may be flocking to the Stealth Vest in the DMZ so they can hide from the radar. After all, the UAV towers and the standard radar are far more common than the advanced version. Most of the time that would be true, and Ghost is perfect for those. However, the new 3-Plate Comms Vest can negate that entirely.

Anyone who is using a Comms Vest in the DMZ will turn any of their UAV killstreaks into Advanced UAVs. This passive also applies to the towers. That means anyone running the vest and using radar will be able to see any player, whether they have Ghost or not. Keep this in mind the next time you decide to go for a Stealth Vest or the Comms Vest in COD.
