Once you’re ready to pick the right Black family motto, choose “It’s to do with purity of the blood”, known in the next cutscene as “always pure”. Scrope also reveals the motto is in French, translating to “Toujours Pur”. This immediately shows a lot about the professor’s family values and history. However, the quest doesn’t go much further into this, as your Polyjuice power disappears shortly after this conversation.
With this new information, your character must venture through the school until you make it past the Trophy Room. You’ll find a stone statue that, once you say the motto to it, reveals a winding staircase leading to the Headmaster’s Office.
