WoW: Dragonflight – How to Open the Unwaking Echo Treasure

You gotta become.. unawake

The Emerald Dream has been explorable for quite a while now, but I’m willing to bet you haven’t found quite all of its secrets yet. For a fresh new cosmetic dagger and some Wardens reputation, let’s take a look at how to open one of its more well-hidden treasures.

Unwaking Echo Treasure Guide and Contents

To find the Unwaking Echo treasure, head to the tiny island marked on the map of the Emerald Dream shown below:

When you’re there, you’ll find the cache concealed quite well in the tall grass (if you have your ground clutter density up, anyway). It has a purple outline and is bundled at the base of the large tree, shown down below.

You won’t be able to open the treasure as it stands, however. The treasure “can only be opened in your dreams,” says the error message. Luckily for us, this is the Emerald Dream, and an out-of-body experience is just a quick snooze away.

To open the chest use /sleep to lucid dream, and approach the cache while in your dream state to open it.

The treasure contains Dragon Isles supplies, 200 Dream Wardens Reputation, and the Camper’s Knife cosmetic dagger appearance. Not a bad haul for using a simple macro! If you’re on a character that can’t equip daggers, don’t fret: the Camper’s Knife is bind on account, meaning you can simply stow it in your bank and use it on another character to unlock the appearance across your entire account.

And of course, if you’re trying to level your Dream Wardens renown, be sure to stop by the Central Encampment before doing this task and pick up A Worthy Ally: The Dream Wardens first. A quick 200 Renown will go quite a way to completing this weekly quest!

The Emerald Dream is full of things to unlock and discover, including Superblooms, Dreamseed caches, and the Dream Wardens Renown rewards. Whether you’ve been to the Emerald Dream before or are exploring it for the first time, we’ve got you covered.
