Will Progress Get Wiped in COD DMZ Season 2? – Answered

Escape from Al Mazrah.

During Season 1, the DMZ mode tied to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 became a surprise hit for many players looking for something new aside from the battle royale or multiplayer. Going into Season 2, players are expecting more changes to the mode, but one of them could include progress getting wiped within the DMZ.

Unlike Warzone 2, the DMZ mode is all about completing missions and exfiltrating with powerful loot that stays with you even after a match ends. Players can carry a lot of equipment with them out of Al Mazrah when playing the extraction mode, so we’ll cover whether you get to keep any of it going into Season 2 of Warzone 2.

COD DMZ Season 2 – Will Progress Get Wiped?

On February 15, when Season 2 of DMZ arrives, nearly everything that players have will be wiped in the game. This is standard for most extraction shooters like Escape From Tarkov. Players fill their inventory with the best loot, only for their items to be wiped out once a new season begins. This will include all contraband weapons, equipment, and any keys that were collected.

In the Warzone 2 DMZ mode, this progress wipe will go beyond the contraband that players have stashed in their inventory. All missions will be completely wiped out and even replaced so that new faction missions can replace them. Every player will go back to Tier 1 in their factions, but this time, reaching Tier 3 will be an easier process.

Just like everything else, Insurance Slots will have progress wiped as well, so going back to those faction missions will be integral once Call of Duty: Season 2 DMZ mode arrives. Aside from the wipe, there will be another zone to explore and the potential for more changes after the full blog post is revealed.
