Which Path Should You Choose for Lucky Wishes Pokemon GO?

Along with the Lunar New Year 2023 festivities in Pokemon GO, Trainers can begin completing challenges as part of the Lucky Wishes Timed Research. Most events in GO have some kind of research to run through, but certain events will have Trainers choose branching paths.

The Lunar New Year event has the branching path mechanic tied to it, so Trainers will need to make a decision as they complete the first part of Lucky Wishes. It can be hard to make a choice without knowing the rewards, though. So we’re here to help you choose the best Lucky Wishes path for your play style in Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO Lucky Wishes – Which Path Should You Choose?

There are three different paths that you can choose once you finish the first step of Lucky Wishes. Everyone will have the same set of challenges in the first step and one additional set of challenges after they choose a path. Regardless of the path you choose, all of the challenges will be the same. It’s the rewards that will change depending on if you want like hatching eggs, using Adventure Incense, or farming for Stardust. You can find each path and the initial step listed below.

Lucky Wishes 1/2 – Pokemon GO

• Catch 5 Pokemon – 15 Poke Balls
• Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms – 10 Great Balls
• Power up Pokemon 5 times – 2 Silver Pinap Berries
• Rewards: 500 Stardust, 500 XP, 1 Lucky Egg

Lucky Wishes – Hatching Eggs 2/2

• Catch 10 Pokemon – Bunnelby Encounter
• Catch 25 Pokemon – Magikarp Encounter
• Catch 8 different species of Pokemon – Combusken Encounter
• Hatch 3 Eggs – Galarian Darumaka Encounter
• Send 25 Gifts to Friends – Azumarill
• Rewards: Darumaka Encounter, 1 Incubator

Lucky Wishes – Using Daily Adventure Incense 2/2

• Catch 10 Pokemon – Bunnelby Encounter
• Catch 25 Pokemon – Magikarp Encounter
• Catch 8 different species of Pokemon – Combusken Encounter
• Hatch 3 Eggs – Galarian Darumaka Encounter
• Send 25 Gifts to Friends – Azumarill
• Rewards: Darumaka Encounter, 10 Golden Razz Berries, 25 Ultra Balls

Lucky Wishes – Collecting Stardust 2/2

• Catch 10 Pokemon – Bunnelby Encounter
• Catch 25 Pokemon – Magikarp Encounter
• Catch 8 different species of Pokemon – Combusken Encounter
• Hatch 3 Eggs – Galarian Darumaka Encounter
• Send 25 Gifts to Friends – Azumarill
• Rewards: Darumaka Encounter, 1 Star Piece

Objectively, the Adventure Incense has the most rewards with the highest value. Of the three, the Stardust is the weakest and the Incubator sits somewhere in the middle. Although the Incense has the most value, it’s really down to what you prefer as a Pokemon GO Trainer in the Lucky Wishes research.
