How to Get Scrap Metals in City 20

Scrap Metal is hard to find if you don’t know where it spawns or where you can salvage it. Most of these Scrap Metals that spawn in the overworld are inside warehouses, and they usually spawn on top of objectives like boxes, barrels, construction tools, or even a conveyor belt.

Sometimes, you can find some in junkyards, but the best way to get them is by getting a hammer and destroying other metallic objects. They’ll usually drop a couple of Scrap Metals as long as you are destroying something that could have “metal” on them. For example, there’s a bicycle near your base, and you can use your hammer to destroy it. It’ll drop some useful Scrap Metals and sometimes even other items.

However, you should be aware of other NPCs around the area. If you are destroying something they own, they’ll try to attack you for it.

What Are Scrap Metals Used For in City 20?

Scrap Metals are used for mostly mechanic items and tools in the game. You’ll have to unlock some of the other blueprints by picking up specific items, which means you have to explore more. Scrap Metals unlocks certain recipe paths indirectly since you can craft early tools like the Makeshift Hatchet to chop down trees for other resources.

The problem with these Makeshift Hatchets is that they break so easily. When you start chopping down trees, you’ll see the durability meter go down extremely fast per swing. You’ll need to limit your lumberjacking tendencies or find more Chicories, Scrap Metals, and Wood Branches to craft more of these Makeshift Hatchets.
