Crafting various means of transportation is good fun in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but nothing beats a good old horse for fast traversal across the map. Wild horses can be found and tamed as soon as you arrive on the surface world of Hyrule right at the start of the game, and there is a system of Stables located all over the map that are kind of like hotels for your horses, where you can register them and call them later if necessary. But you might be wondering where exactly to find wild horses in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Let’s find out.
Where to Find Wild Horses in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Unlike many other open-world games, like Horizon: Forbidden West or anything from the Ubisoft kitchen, Zelda, starting with Breath of the Wild, redefined what an open-world game map should look like. Instead of tons of icons on the map that immediately reveal to the player where the points of interest are, the new Zelda games allow players to explore and discover the world on their own. So there is no icon on the map that suggests wild horses’ spawn point – you need to find them yourself.
Wild horses in Tears of the Kingdom usually spawn in small herds always on the flat land near each Horse Stable on the Hyrule surface map. Check out the map below to see all Horse Stable locations in the game to get an idea of where to search for Wild horses.
