Where to Find Obsidian in Enshrouded

Obsidian is an important crafting material that you will need tons of in the late game. It’s used to make several late-game armor sets, ammunition, spells, and building blocks. As it’s a late-game item, you won’t find it in the early-game areas like Revelwood.

With that said, here’s where to find Obsidian in Enshrouded and how to farm it efficiently.

Where to Find Obsidian in Enshrouded

Obsidian is primarily found in the Albaneve Summits, where you can mine it from dark, glassy rock deposits. The easiest way to find it is to jump off the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire and glide around the cliff. There are tons of deposits on the sides of the Ancient Spire mountain.

If you want a lot of Obsidian, the best place is the Obsidian mine located northeast of the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire. 

You can also use Gateway Outpost Alba as a nearby landmark. The Obsidian Mine is approximately 360 meters northeast of the outpost.

Once you reach the mine, explore the caves and look for black, glass-like veins along the walls. Equip your pickaxe and mine these deposits to collect Obsidian.

The Obsidian Mine is a level 32 location, so make sure you’re adequately equipped before heading inside. You’ll encounter Scavengers and several hostile creatures, including Summit Spiders and Snow Sabertooths.

How to Farm Obsidian in Enshrouded

Mining isn’t the only way to obtain Obsidian. Several enemies can also drop this material, giving you another reason to clear the surrounding Scavenger camps. This isn’t better than mining of course, but it’s still a way to get Obsidian if you only need a couple. 

These are the enemies that drop obsidian.

• Scavenger Tyrant: A reliable source that can drop between 1 and 4 Obsidian.
• Scavenger Miner and Scavenger Pyreblade: Decent sources of obsidian
• Other Scavengers: Scabs, Scalpers, Butchers, and Scrapshields can occasionally drop the material.

You can also collect Obsidian by fighting Drak’Dal enemies in the Veilwater Basin.

I’d recommend prioritizing the Obsidian Mine if you need a large amount, as it contains several mining deposits in one location. You can clear nearby enemies along the way for additional materials.

What Is Obsidian Used For in Enshrouded?

Obsidian is used in several crafting recipes across different stations. Some of its more notable uses include crafting Obsidian Arrows, Fireball III spells, Obsidian Blocks, and late-game armor pieces.

You can also use it to craft Lockpicks at the Blacksmith, making it a useful resource to keep stocked.

If you’re planning to upgrade your equipment or explore the colder regions of Embervale, it’s worth collecting Obsidian whenever you come across a deposit.
