Where to Find Formal Raiment in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Medieval chic.

If you want to infiltrate a royal event, you must look the part, dear. And what better way to do so than dress in Formal Raiment? Fortunately, there are a couple of locations where you can find a set of Formal Raiment in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Formal Raiment Location

During the Masked Correspondence quest Brant will task you with attending the masquerade to get closer to the false Sovren. He will mention that you will need to wear Formal Raiment, but no information as to how to obtain it. But he does give you a spiffy-looking mask that you must wear. And you must wear it. Trust me. Don’t take it off at any time during the masquerade.

There are two easy-to-find locations where you can find a set of Formal Raiment. You only need one, so it is up to you which location you visit. Or, if you’re like me, you can get both. They are both in Vernworth Castle and close to one another.

Vernworth Castle Guest Chambers

The Vernworth Castle guest chambers are located on the second floor (2F) of Vernworth Castle, on the same side of the castle as the satellite tower connection. Make your way up through the castle, whether it be through the front doors, and up the stairs in the audience chamber or, at night through the guard house. When you enter the guest chambers, you will find the chest that contains formal raiment.

Sven’s Chambers

Sven’s Chambers is a good choice to find formal raiment as you must visit him in his chambers to discuss attending the masquerade anyway. Sven’s chambers are also located on the second floor (2F) of Vernworth Castle on the same side as the guest chambers but towards the end of the hallway. You will see the chest hidden towards the back of the room.

Now that you have the formal raiment and mask, make sure that you equip them and wait until the evening to join in on some dancing and music in medieval style. If you don’t want to wait for the day to progress organically, you can always take advantage of the seats scattered around the world, so that evening comes quicker!
