Diamonds are a wonderful resource in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You can gift them to others, make decorations and progress through certain quests! Like many other materials, you’ll need these if you want to finish everything the game offers, so it’s worth gathering some to use later. As a bonus, you can make decent money by selling them! Diamond Locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Diamonds spawn exclusively in the Forgotten Lands. After unlocking Sunlit Plateau, you can open the Forgotten Lands for 15,000 Dreamlight and find rock deposits along its outer borders. Mine these rocks for a chance to get some diamonds!
Alongside diamonds, you also have a chance to find amethysts, another valuable gem used in various quests and crafting recipes. While diamonds are slightly more expensive, valued at 600 star coins per gem, amethysts are worth 500 each, making them pretty helpful if you need money!
How to Find Diamonds Easily in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unfortunately, there is no way to quickly farm many diamonds, as the rock spawn chances are entirely random. However, there are some tips you can use to increase your odds of finding them:
- Look for rocks with light blue gems on their surface. These rocks guarantee a diamond drop, with a high chance of it being an expensive shiny version!
- Hang out with a high-level mining character! Villagers with mining hangout bonuses increase your odds of finding double the rock deposit drops. It’ll happen more often than not if you use a level-10 character!
- Mine every Forgotten Lands rock you find. Even if it looks like a regular stone, there is still a chance a diamond will appear. If you’re lucky, it may drop several amethysts, diamonds, and other useful resources.

The picture below shows a quick example of this. I found a diamond rock in the Forgotten Lands and asked Nala the lion to hang out with me. She had the mining trait and was level ten, so I knew my odds of getting a duplicate diamond were high. This hunch turned out to be true, as I got two shiny diamonds and made an easy 4800 star coins after selling them.
