Where to Find Batty Slimes in Slime Rancher 2

Adventure into deep, dark caves

One of the most interesting aspects of Slime Rancher 2 and its prequel is the different behaviors of each slime. While some happily roam around and bask in the afternoon sunlight, others appear at night. You’ll also find some exclusively in water or lava, while other slimes are exclusive to one region. One unique slime is the Batty Slime, which was introduced in the second game. If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to discover where to find Batty Slimes in Slime Rancher 2.

Where to Find Batty Slimes in Slime Rancher 2

Batty Slimes live in caves around Slime Rancher 2. More specifically, you’ll find them in Ember Valley’s main caves, alongside the feral Boom-Batty Largos in the region’s lava area. While you can’t bring the Largos back to your base, you can feed them to get some plorts!

If you’re looking to bring some regular Batty Slimes to your Conservatory, you’ll have to venture into Ember Valley’s cave and start searching. There are two main caves to check out:

  • Northern cave – Out of the teleporter, venture west until you hit a small archway. Turn right and fly up the mountain slightly until you find a cave entrance hidden in a covered space. In this cave, you’ll find Pink, Angler, and Batty slimes.
  • Western cave – If you’re starting from the teleporter, head west and up the ramps, until you reach a large area with Pink, Tabby, and Rock slimes. Keep going west until you find an archway with dark stone. Go into this entrance and along the path before turning left at the Feral Warning Sign. You’ll find numerous Crystal, Boom, and Batty Slimes!

Once you’ve found some Batty Slime to bring back to the Conservatory, set up a Corral with the Solar Shield upgrade. While they can handle the sunlight, they’ll become more agitated, raising their chances of escaping.
