Thor is coming to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 as part of a new collaboration with Marvel. If you’ve heard about Thor’s Hammer being in Fortnite ahead of the launch of Season 4 and are wondering if this is true, the answer is yes it is.
You can’t do anything with Thor’s Hammer just yet, but knowing where to find it in Fortnite may prove to be useful once Season 4 officially begins.
Where to Find Thor’s Hammer in Fortnite
Thor’s Hammer can be found in the area south of Salty Springs in Fortnite, as seen in the map image above.
The crater caused by Thor’s Hammer falling to the ground can be seen from the sky, making it easy to land in the right spot. You can also see the crater when approaching on foot.
When you reach to the crater you’ll find Thor’s Hammer in the center.
Even though Thor’s Hammer looks like something you could grab, you can’t pick this bad boy up. At least, not right now.
You can visit and look at Thor’s Hammer and appreciate its inclusion in Fortnite, but that’s about it.
Despite not being able to do anything with Thor’s Hammer, it’s cool to see it in Fortnite as it heralds what gamers can look forward to in the future once Season 4 begins.
Other hints as to what Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 will consist of can be found in a brand new 8-page comic collaboration between Marvel and Epic Games which details the arrival of both Thor and Galactus in Fortnite.
The comic is the real deal with art by Greg Land and writing by Donny Cates and can be read for free inside Fortnite itself.
If you don’t get the prompt to read it, you can head to the Battle Pass section of Fortnite and at the bottom right corner of your screen, you should see the comic resting on a barrel.
Not only does it add some clarity to Thor’s arrival in Fortnite, you can also get the Shooting Starstaff Pickaxe simply by checking out the comic.
Towards the end of the comic, it seems like Thor is getting amnesia due to the mysterious energies of the Fortnite island. This is bad, especially with Galactus on his way to the Fortnite island.
Fortunately, Thor may have some help as we see a woman named Sif receive Thor’s message at the end of the comic.
It’s possible she may head out to help Thor, but she may have a hard time doing so if she gets amnesia after landing on the Fortnite island as well.
For those unfamiliar, Sif is a close companion of Thor who’s joined him in battle in the past. If you watch a number of Marvel movies you might’ve seen her as portrayed by Jaimie Alexander in 2011’s Thor and Thor: The Dark World.
Knowing that we’re getting Thor, Galactus, and possibly Sif in Fortnite is extremely exciting.
