How to Farm for Dark Fragments
Dark Fragments are an item in Destiny 2 that players can acquire once they start exploring the Dreaming City. You’ll find several ways to acquire this item, all of which we’ve outlined below:
- Complete Petra Venj’s bounties and other pursuits.
- Complete Public Events.
- Complete Ascendant Challenges.
- Open Ascendant Chests.
- Complete the Blind Well.
- Unlock Lost Sector chests.
- Complete Patrols throughout the game.
One you reach the Dreaming City, you should go ahead and start completing bounties and pursuits for Petra Venj. Not only will this allow you to go ahead and start saving up your Dark Fragments. You will need to keep in mind that each of Petra’s items has a time limit, so make sure you’re completing things each day as you acquire them, as you won’t be able to hold onto many of them for several days.
You’ll also want to complete public events and things of that nature while completing bounties for Petra Venj. On top of completing the public events, make sure you’re triggering the Heroic version of each of these events as this will provide you with greater rewards and gear, as well as more Dark Fragments for your trouble.
If you’re a high enough Power Level, then we’d suggest completely Lost Sectors on a loop. While this might not be the most enjoyable way to farm for Dark Fragments, it is one of the best ways and easily one of the most efficient ways to farm for this item. Continue to repeat this process as much as needed to get the Dark Fragments that you need and you’ll be able to afford any items you need to purchase with them.
