The Assassin’s Creed series has taken us around the globe, from the lands of ancient Egypt to the local lands of New York, and it seems that Mirage is hoping to bring us somewhere completely new. As the games continue to mature and evolve, their landscapes continue to spread outward, so the more confined space of AC: Mirage is a great choice for those hoping to explore every nook and cranny of its detailed world. The problem is that players may be wondering where this new adventure takes place, and we’re here as your helpful tour guides to point you in the right direction.
Where is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Set?
When jumping into the world of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, be prepared to take in the sights and spectacles of 9th-century Baghdad. Rather than taking place in a large, open world like previous games in the series, Mirage is going back to basics and keeping players confined to one area, a choice that I am personally very excited about. While games like Valhallah and Odysee may have taken us on large, open-world adventures, the idea of a smaller city sounds wonderful to plenty of players.
In this particular entry, you’ll be able to explore the streets of this city to your heart’s content, and the return to a more stealth-based approach to exterminating enemies means that we’ll be able to appreciate every detail of our surroundings while approaching them to deliver their final judgment. Make sure you’re prepared for anything that could be coming your way in this excellent recreation of the Middle East, and get ready for a new adventure.
Whether you’ve been playing the Assassin’s Creed franchise since the first installment or you jumped into the franchise with the most recent entries, the chance to embark on an older-style adventure once again has my blood pumping. Be sure to check out our Assassin’s Creed Mirage section below to get your hands on plenty of information about the game and find out if you should jump into the side quests before completing the main story.
