Ashika Island is coming to Warzone 2 on February 15, 2023. This comes directly from the Call of Duty official Twitter account that tweeted out the announcement.

Drop into the new free-to-play Call of Duty #Warzone2 small map featuring Resurgence and DMZ gameplay on February 15.”

More information on the map, locations, and other major changes coming to Warzone 2 will be released in the coming weeks leading up to the official release of Season 2.

We know that The Gulag will return to its 1v1 original format, which differs significantly from the current 2v2 Gulag in Warzone 2.

A new backpack system will now give players access to the same backpack throughout the entire map. This means that when players are eliminated, their loot will drop on the ground as opposed to the loot-filled backpack players would need to sift through to find what they are looking for.
