Fighting game fans are practically foaming at the mouth for the latest edition of the iconic Street Fighter franchise to come out, especially after getting their first taste with the recent closed beta test. Street Fighter 6 has thoroughly impressed fans after the lukewarm reception its predecessor received, sporting vibrant visuals and ambitious new ideas, like the ability to create your own fighter and guide them through an open-world. Until now, the release date has been mostly unknown, other than the assumption that we’d get our Shoryukens out sometime in 2023. Though, it looks like Sony’s PlayStation Store may have given us an answer – whether intentional or not. Here’s all the information we know of Street Fighter 6’s release date, including the various editions planned.

Street Fighter 6 – Release Date and Editions
Twitter user @Wario64 linked a thread found on Resetera, in which a user spotted Street Fighter 6 as a pre-order listing on their PlayStation store, complete with three different editions, what they each include, and when they’ll be released.
According to the PlayStation store listing, Street Fighter 6 will release on June 2, 2023. Though the prices are not yet known, there will be three different editions that fans can purchase: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. Here’s what we can expect out of each one:
- Street Fighter 6 – Standard Edition

- Outfit 1 Color 10 for 6 Characters
- Special Titles and Stickers
- Street Fighter 6 – Deluxe Edition

If history has taught us anything, these Year One passes are likely the usual fighting game season pass, which set you up with all the post-release characters added for the year following the initial launch. The Ultimate Pass will likely be the same, but with tons of extra goodies included, like outfit variants.
