Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish started back in November 2023. While this season brought a slew of content alongside it, players were still eagerly anticipating the launch of The Final Shape.
Since then, Bungie has expressed its need to delay this expansion due to its need to produce an “even bigger and bolder vision,” stating that it needs “more time to become exactly what [Bungie] wants it to be.”
This meant that the Season of the Wish, which was originally scheduled to end on February 27, 2024, would inevitably be pushed back until The Final Shape was ready.
Destiny 2 Season of The Wish End Date
The Season of the Wish will end on June 4, 2024, and will directly land at the same time as The Final Shape’s launch. The specific time at which the season ends will follow the usual weekly reset schedule in Destiny 2 of 10 AM PT/1 PM ET/5 PM GMT.
However, Bungie has promised they will deliver a lot of engaging content to keep players busy. Apart from the weekly activity rotations such as Nightfalls, Raids, Dungeons, and Trials of Osiris, the Into the Light update also drops on April 9, 2024.
Upcoming Content in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish
Into the Light will be a free update with new activities and returning weapons and armor sets. The main activity will be Onslaught, a hoard-based PvE mode that takes place on PvP fan-favorite maps such as Midtown.
In addition to the new Onslaught mode, 12 fan-favorite weapons with new looks and enhanced perks will return for a limited time. So, while Guardians will have to wait just a bit longer for The Final Shape to arrive, the Darkness still looms, and there are always threats to defeat.
