When Does DOOM Eternal Come Out on Switch?

So you're excited to crack into the latest in demon-killing technology but you're wanting to wait til it heads Nintendo-side? Here's what we know about when DOOM Eternal comes out on the Switch.

If you’ve been absolutely frothing for DOOM Eternal but you’re someone who considers themselves a true Nintendo buff who prefers the Switch as your console du jour, we get that too. Sure, you can pick up the game on pretty much every other platform right now, but it’s not quite the same if you’re wanting to wait. So, we’re curious too. When does DOOM Eternal come out on Switch? Your guess is really as good as ours, but we give it a go.

When Does DOOM Eternal Come Out on Switch?

You already know when DOOM Eternal is coming out if you’ve been keeping an eagle-eye on the delays for titles over the past. However, as we reported not so long ago, you can definitely rest assured that DOOM Eternal is going to launch without a hitch on March 2020. That being said, we can definitely see the value in a version of demon slaying that’s portable because well, we all live pretty busy lives! It’s already been confirmed that DOOM Eternal is going to end up on the Nintendo Switch, but it’s really just a matter of when this is going to happen according to the original launch trailer. 

Panic Button is the team that’s working on the Nintendo Switch port, so we reckon that it’s going to be a couple of months out while the port gets refined and dealt with. It’s a huge game and we’ve already seen some of the beastly machine specs that people are recommending for the optimal DOOM Eternal experience. Because of that, well, we think there’s going to be a fair amount squished down for the Nintendo Switch port and that itself could take some time. There’s no currently confirmed date for DOOM Eternal to come to the Switch, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for later on this year. 

Now that you’ve got a little bit more information about when DOOM Eternal comes out on the Switch, you can join the rest of us who are patiently sitting on our hands and having to wait for the chance to rip and tear on a whole other platform. As we’ve already mentioned, there’s not going to be a delay in the release of the game for PlayStation 4, PC, or Xbox so if you absolutely can’t handle yourself until you play some, there will be other ways to get it.
