What do we Know About Ashika Island Resurgence Warzone 2?

Resurgence returns.

February is just a day away and Infinity Ward is planning to release tons of information on what we can expect going into Season 2. Before getting into any details though, we were all given a teaser of the Resurgence map that is set to drop in Warzone 2.

There have been tons of leaks along the way, including a Japanese theme for the upcoming season of Modern Warfare 2 and the battle royale. Initially, the leaks had players believing that Castle would appear as a new map with the theme. Now we know that the theme is geared toward Ashika Island, and we’ll go over everything we know so far.

Resurgence Warzone 2 – Everything We Know About Ashika Island

The teaser that was released for Ashika Island was very brief and simply show us some characters that were outlined in the sand by a metal ball. The screen quickly went to black after, displayed a Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 2 banner, and gave us one final message. We can expect a full-blown Tac Map reveal, which is another name for the leaks we already saw.

Tac Map should be a stand-in name for Resurgence in Warzone 2, and that was confirmed at the end of the trailer. Resurgence was the small-scale battle royale variant in Warzone 1 that became so popular amongst the player base. Rebirth Island is the map that kicked off the mode, and Fortune’s Keep was added during the tenure of Call of Duty: Vanguard in 2022.

This means that Ashika Island will be the definitive Resurgence map for Warzone 2 as we know it in the Modern Warfare 2 era. The new map should release on February 15, when the majority of Season 2 content becomes available to play. Expect the new map to be much faster-paced than Al Mazrah, which makes it the place to go for all previous Resurgence fans.
