What is a Flak Jacket in Call of Duty: Warzone? – Answered

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Like in most first-person shooters, Call of Duty players are always finding ways to reduce incoming damage from their opponents because, after all, nobody likes going to the Gulag. One such way is by using a Flak Jacket, but what is it, and is it in Warzone? Here’s everything you need to know.

Is the Flak Jacket in Warzone?

Unfortunately, unlike many other CoD sequels (Black Ops, Advanced Warfare, World at War), there is no Flak Jacket in Warzone so if an enemy manages to slide a grenade into your boots, your chances of survival are quite minimal.

The line-up of Perks in Warzone hasn’t changed since its release in 2020, but fans have hopes that Activision will re-invent the game by adding new content soon.

Until then, don’t despair, as there’s something similar in-game already. It’s called E.O.D. (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) and it provides you with the ability to take less damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire. And when you pick up live grenades, it resets the fuse on them so you’re no longer stuck with hot potatoes and not knowing when it will blow.

The E.O.D. is available as soon as you start playing Call of Duty: Warzone as a Tier 1 Perk from the Perk Menu, where it should be fairly easy to spot it around the top. When used correctly, it will save you from many life-or-death situations and could spell the difference between a loss and a win.

One thing we suggest trying is upgrading the Perk with the Tier 3 Spotter Perk, which grants you an additional ability to see field upgrades, opponents’ equipment, and killstreaks through walls. You can, of course, mark them for your team by aiming down the sights. Additionally, you can hack enemy C4s, Claymores, Proximity Mines, and Trophy Systems.
