What Does the Red Access Card do in Call of Duty: Warzone?

If you're new for Season 5, you may be wondering what those keycards are for.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale spinoff paired with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is full of secrets. Like any major game in this genre, it’s a living world that changes over time. For the new Season 5 this week, we’ve seen Verdansk, the Warzone map, expand with new interiors and more. The major attraction is the Stadium, which seems to have a new secret waiting to be uncovered. But to figure that out, you have to figure out bunkers. And to figure out bunkers, you need a Red Access Card.

What Does the Red Access Card do in Modern Warfare?

If you’re new to Warzone, you need to know about the bunkers full stop. These are basically hidden treasure chests, scattered around Verdansk in specific locations. Most of the bunkers have different kinds of tools you can use on the battlefield, but the bunker added last season added a new weapon Blueprint. That bunker requires its own puzzle solution, but for every other bunk all you need is that Red Access Card.

To find a Red Access Card, you have to be pretty dang lucky. These bad boys only show up in legendary crates. And they aren’t guaranteed either. Not only are Red Access Cards hard to find, but everyone playing Warzone is aware of that. Players who find them tend to seek out the nearest bunker right away, and other players know that if they hang out nearby one, someone with a Red Access card will eventually come by, likely too distracted by treasure to notice anyone lying in wait.

If you can safely reach a bunker after you get yourself a Red Access Card, the rest is easy. Assuming nobody is trying to kill you, you’ll need to find the keypad on the right side of the door, and simply interact with it to use your card. You’ll see a little animation on the keypad, and then the door will open. Inside, you’ll find good loot that will undoubtedly put you in a better spot to survive the round.

That’s the long and short of it. If you’re trying to figure out the Blueprint bunker, which contains the Mud Dauber MP7 Blueprint along with other goodies, you can check out an earlier guide we published addressing that exact puzzle.
