What Affinity Is & What It Does In Monster Hunter Rise

Affinity is a skill you will find on both armor and weapons in Monster Hunter Rise. Like every other skill in the game, you can click in the right stick to read more about what the ability does, but sometimes it’s not always exactly clear what stat it affects.

Affinity directly ties to your critical hit chance. The higher the Affinity you have the higher your chance of landing a critical hit will be. Having a negative penalty to Affinity will actually give you a chance to blunder a hit which correlates to around a 25% decrease in raw physical damage on a hit.

Below you can find the skills that will increase your Affinity.

  • Critical Eye
  • Agitator
  • Maximum Might
  • Latent Power

Well, that’s everything you need to know about Affinity. For more tips and tricks in Monster Hunter Rise be sure to check out Prima Games and our official Facebook and Twitter pages.
