While you are provided the blueprint for this item, players are expected to know the best farming locations for the items that they need to craft it. In this article we’ll show you how to farm for Cryptographic ALUs in Warframe, one of the rarer materials needed to craft the Razorback Ciphers.

How to Farm Cryptographic ALUs

As we stated in our opener, getting the Razorback Cipher Blueprint is as easy as waiting for it to appear in your Inbox messages. Once you receive it, you’ll need to obtain several items in order to craft the item. Here’s the exact items that you’ll need, as well as how many you’ll need to acquire:

  • 1,500 Polymer Bundles
  • 3 Gallium
  • 4 Cryptographic ALUs

As you can see, there aren’t many items needed to craft the Razorback Cipher, but since the Cipher itself it used when you access the main boss room of the Razorback Armada, you’ll want to have plenty of this item in reserve—just in case you need to try again, or want to try again.  Not sure what we’re talking about? Check out our guide on what is the Razorback Armada  to learn more about this special event in Warframe.

Once you know what you need, its as simple as finding the items that you need. Now, Polymer Bundles and Gallium are pretty easy to come by, however, Cryptographic ALUs are a bit tougher to locate and obtain.

In fact, the best way to get these items—and the only way to get them currently—is to complete Archwing missions within the Corpus areas like Jupiter and Neptune, as Corpus Archwing enemies are the only known enemy that currently drop this item. Of course, like anything in Warframe, it all comes down to RNG, and you won’t have a guaranteed chance at finding a Cryptographic ALU each time that you kill a Corpus Archwing enemy. That’s where farming spots come in handy.

The best place to currently farm for Cryptographic ALUs is to head to Salacia, Neptune and farm for this item within that node. This mission has been known to yield around 10 or so per run, though this should be taken as more of a guideline than a proven fact. As with any farming spots, the percentage of drops can change with each update, or launch of the mission, but if you want to grab yourself several Cryptographic ALUs, then this is going to be one of the best ways to get started.

Barring that, you can also head to any Corpus Archwing based missions in the Jupiter/Neptune area, as these have a small chance of dropping the Cryptographic ALUs as well. Either way, you should now know everything you need to get started farming for Cryptographic ALUs.
