If you've been wondering what's in store for you during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's holiday season, you might be pleased to know that it's less about Santa hats and more about the return of a kickass present for fans of the franchise. The Vacant Modern Warfare map and more will be made available this holiday season.

Vacant Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Map and More - Which Maps Are Coming?

Now we're talking a proper festive surprise. There's going to be remastered versions of two classic Call of Duty maps coming back to the latest revision in the franchise. We're talking about these two specifically:

  • Vacant
  • Shipment

The Vacant map is one that fans will have seen before if you've been keeping a close eye on the franchise with each evolving release. Vacant was in Call of Duty 4, and it was also used in Modern Warfare Remastered which some will remember from a few years ago. However, remastering this favorite and Shipment aren't the only things that you're going to get this Christmas. We've got a list of other additions to Modern Warfare, including some limited game modes like Infected:

  • Open Winter map
  • Cranked mode
  • Drop Zone mode

Drop Zone was a popular April Fools' mode that gained legitimacy when the community just couldn't get enough, so this will definitely be one that will get tongues wagging upon implementation. On the other hand, if you want a more traditional winter experience, then Open Winter will have snow, spice, and all sorts of baubles fit for a Christmas tree when you crack into it.

You won't have to wait long to experience any of these things in-game, however. Players will have all this holiday content available from December 18, which is super soon, and we reckon it's going to be a blast. Now that you know a little more about the Vacant Modern Warfare map that's going to be released alongside the other Christmas goodies, you can join us in our excitement.
