Beef up your weapons!

Tower of Fantasy Upgrade Matrix Guide

After finishing chapter one and progressing into the second part of Tower of Fantasy, you’ll eventually unlock Matrices. Matrices are modules you can develop and attach to your weapon to give it special perks. You can affix up to four different Matrices on one weapon.

Furthermore, if you’re already advancing into chapter two, you’ve likely stumbled upon your Wanderer’s Log and noticed that there’s a new set of tasks. One of these tasks asks you to upgrade any Matrix to level 5. If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to find a comprehensive Matrix guide detailing how to get and upgrade them to level 5 in Tower of Fantasy.

How to Get and Upgrade a Matrix in Tower of Fantasy

There are several ways to find Matrices throughout your playthrough. One example is by upgrading your Suppressor until you hit v1.5. Upon reaching v1.5, you’ll get an Echo: Until the End Matrix. If you want to go all-out, you can also purchase the Hilda Matrix Chip in the Wanderer’s Supplies section of the shop for $9.99.

Once you’ve obtained your Matrix, head into the Weapons menu and select Matrices. From here, pick a Matrix and click Develop. By developing your Matrix, you’ll level it up using Matrix data packs. If you don’t currently have any Matrix data packs, you can get some from password chests, bounty missions, and the points store. Select enough data packs to upgrade your Matrix to at least level 5.

After upgrading your Matrix, you can now attach it to a weapon. To do this, click Affix, pick your weapon and select your newly upgraded Matrix. Since there are four types of Matrices, Mind, Memory, Belief, and Emotion, you can’t put two of the same type on one weapon. You also can’t put the same Matrix on multiple weapons. However, to maximize the effectiveness of the Matrix, be sure to match the respective three-set piece onto the same weapon to gain a special bonus!
