The Outer Worlds is the upcoming RPG game from Obsidian that will thrust players into a Fallout like experience in the vast reaches of space. One of the main questions players have had regarding the new title has been with whether or not they will have the ability to play the game from a third-person point of view.
Have you been curious about The Outer Worlds having a third-person mode? If so, be sure to check out everything you need to know regarding this particular point of view for this specific RPG.
Is There Third-Person in The Outer Worlds?
Unfortunately for fans of being able to play in third-person, The Outer Worlds will only be playable from a first-person perspective. This lack of a third-person perspective means players will not be able to see the entirety of their character at all times.
There is a great deal of development cost and time that goes into the creation of a third-person point of view. This is especially true for a game like The Outer Worlds that has a vast universe for players to explore. Obsidian has spoken in the past regarding this topic and has stated that it did not have the resources necessary to develop the additional point of view, which has resulted in the first-person only perspective for the title.
However, there is always a possibility the additional perspective could be added to the high-profile RPG in the future if Obsidian ultimately decides to implement such a feature. The first-person mode, however, does provide a more immersive experience for those exploring the vast universe of The Outer Worlds.
