NOTE: The Yetuga boss featured in this guide is based on the demo version of The First Berserker: Khazan. Since the demo allows progress to carry over into the full game, it is highly likely that the full version will retain the same boss attack patterns and mechanics described here. If there are any changes in the final release, we will update this guide to ensure it stays accurate and helpful.

All Yetuga Attack Patterns in The First Berserker Khazan

Attack PatternsDescription
Fist Stomp and UppercutYetuga closes the distance by performing a left-hand fist stomp aimed directly at your position, immediately followed by a right-hand uppercut. Both moves are straightforward to block or parry if you time them correctly.
Swipe AttackYetuga prepares this move by raising his right hand far to the left and then sweeping it across in a wide arc toward you. Stay alert and ready to dodge or block.
Frenzy StompIn this attack, Yetuga retreats slightly, beats his chest, and slams the ground with both arms in a powerful stomp aimed at your location. While intimidating, this move can also be blocked or parried with precise timing.
Combo SwipesYetuga unleashes a sequence of swiping attacks using both arms. Each swing occurs with about a half-second delay between strikes. The combo starts with a right-arm swing, followed by the left, then another right swing, ending with a full-circle left-arm swipe. Blocking, parrying, or evading is critical to avoid taking significant damage.
Once the combo concludes, Yetuga is visibly exhausted for about three seconds, giving you an excellent opportunity to counterattack.
Aerial StompYetuga leaps into the air and comes crashing down with a devastating right-hand stomp. If the attack misses or you manage to dodge in time, Yetuga’s hand will get stuck in the ground for about two seconds, leaving the boss vulnerable to your attacks.
Grab AttackWhen Yetuga’s health drops by around 30% or more, it may disengage and attempt a grab attack by lunging directly toward you. You’ll have approximately one second to react and dodge to the left or right. This attack cannot be blocked or parried, so evasion is your only option. If grabbed, Yetuga will deal massive damage to you, so stay vigilant.
Ice Rock SlamAt around 40–50% health, Yetuga enters an enraged state. It beats its chest, pulls an icy boulder from the ground, leaps into the air, and slams it at your location. This attack deals tremendous damage, so your best bet is to create distance by running to the far end of the arena. As Yetuga is about to land, dodge to the left or right to avoid the icy boulder.
Ice CrystalsAfter the Ice Rock Slam, Yetuga beats its chest again and exhales a chilling breath to summon rows of ice crystals in a 180-degree arc in front of it. There are safe gaps between the crystals where you can avoid taking damage. If hit, you’ll suffer Frost status buildup. At the end of this attack, Yetuga slams its arms into the ground, shattering all the summoned crystals.
Charged RushYetuga can charge directly at you with a headlong rush. While you can block this attack, dodging is a safer option. If you evade successfully, Yetuga will crash into the arena wall, leaving itself stunned for two to three seconds, giving you time to strike back.
Back Stomp AttackIf you attack Yetuga from behind for an extended period, it will retaliate with a backward stomp. Since the boss is tall, dodging to the left or right is the best way to avoid this attack.

Best Strategy to Defeat Yetuga Boss in The First Berserker Khazan

Yetuga is a massive, gorilla-like boss with ice crystals adorning its back and the back of its head. This boss relies heavily on melee attacks, so you will need to stay alert and carefully monitor its arm movements and close-to-mid-range attacks, which we already mentioned in the above section.

The key to beating Yetuga lies in depleting its stamina bar, which is represented by a purple gauge located beneath its health bar. Once the stamina bar is fully drained, the boss will enter an exhausted state, leaving it vulnerable to a devastating ‘Brutal Attack’.

Methods to Drain Stamina

  1. Consistent Damage:
The easiest way to lower Yetuga’s stamina is to land consistent attacks. You can use either swift, repetitive strikes or heavier Potent Blows. While Potent Blows significantly reduce the stamina bar, they come with long attack animations, leaving you open to counterattacks or interruptions.
  2. Parries and Perfect Parries:
Another effective method is to parry or perfectly parry Yetuga’s melee attacks. Since the boss relies almost entirely on close-range strikes, learning to anticipate its attack delays will allow you to perform perfect parries, which deal significant stamina damage.

Regardless of your approach, maintaining consistent pressure is essential. Draining Yetuga’s stamina will create opportunities for massive damage during its exhausted state.

Manage Your Stamina

Keep in mind that while the boss has a stamina bar, so do you. Your stamina, represented by a white bar below your health, is just as critical to manage. If your stamina depletes entirely or you take a hit while it is low, your character will enter an exhausted state for two seconds, leaving you vulnerable to further attacks—a potentially fatal mistake.

Helpful Consumables

Consumables can significantly improve your chances while fighting Yetuga in The First Berserker Khazan:

  • Vitality Shards: Use items such as Vitality Shard that temporarily boost your stamina regeneration to maintain pressure on Yetuga with quick, successive attacks.
  • Fire Enhancers: Infuse your weapons with fire using Fire Enhancer consumables to deal extra damage per hit. Since Yetuga summons ice crystals and inflicts Frost status effects, it is highly likely that it has a weakness to fire. The game even hints at this by dropping a few Fire Enhancers as you explore areas before the boss fight, encouraging you to exploit this potential weakness.

By combining precise timing, strategic use of consumables, and effective stamina management, you will be able to overcome Yetuga in The First Bersker Khazan and capitalize on its vulnerabilities.
