The “guilelessly cruel” Guardian, Tapu Lele, is returning to 5-Star Raids to celebrate the day of love. But bringing down this Powerful Fairy-Type can be tricky. Here’s your Tapu Lele Raid Guide for Pokemon GO: Weaknesses and Counters.
Tapu Lele Raid Guide for Pokemon GO: Weaknesses and Counters
The flower-scented Guardian has been a possible catch in Pokemon GO before. But this is the first time you can catch Tapu Lele Shiny in Pokemon GO! And, personally, I prefer it with its black trim: it’s very Gothic Lolita.
You’ll be able to battle it in 5-Star Raids from February 8, 10:00 AM to February 15, 10:00 AM, local time. It’s catch CP value is 1912 – 1996 CP at level 20 with no weather boost, but 2390-2496 CP at Level 25 with weather boost. So, if at all possible, catch it in Windy or Cloudy weather.
Now let’s break Tapu Lele down. This Psychic/Fairy-Type Pokemon is generally strong in other games, but for now it’s moving a significant move: Charm. Still, it’s possible Tapu Lele will get it in the future. And its typing means that it has three significant weaknesses: Ghost, Steel, and Poison Type moves.
But that doesn’t mean that Tapu Lele is a powderpuff pushover. It still has moves that can pack a punch. They are:
Fast Moves:
- Confusion (Psychic)
- Astonish (Ghost)
Charge Moves:
- Psyshock (Psychic)
- Focus Blast (Fighting)
- Moonblast (Fairy)
- Future Sight (Psychic)
With these moves in mind, these are the best Pokemon to bring the fragrant and cruel Tapu Lele down:
