by Josh Hawkins

If you pre-ordered Karl Fairburne’s latest story and are looking forward to taking down Hitler in Sniper Elite 4, then you’re going to need to know how to launch the Target: Führer campaign mission. This mission can only be found if you pre-ordered the game, so players who pick the game up after it releases will have to wait for the DLC mission to arrive at a later time. In this article we’ll teach you everything you need to know to launch Target: Führer and get it up and running.

How to Launch Target: Führer

As stated above, you can only access the Target: Führer campaign mission if you pre-ordered Sniper Elite 4. To launch the mission, open the game and access the Main Menu. From here, choose Singleplayer Campaign. Now, highlight and choose the Select Mission option. This will open up a list of all the unlocked missions that you currently have.

The Target: Führer mission won’t appear in this list, though. Instead, locate the small DLC button below the list of missions. Click this option to change out the mission list to only show your currently DLC missions. If you pre-ordered the game and have access to the Target: Führer mission, then you’ll be able to select it from the list and launch it.

What is the Target: Führer Mission?

Like previous Sniper Elite games, Rebellion have given players a chance to take on the supreme leader of the German empire himself, Hitler. In this mission Karl Fairburne discovers that Hitler as arrived at the location of his current objective. Because of this his mission updates and players will need to take down Hitler using their wits and weapons. This mission, like others before it, doesn’t actually fit into the official Sniper Elite canon, so it should be viewed as a standalone entity on its own.

Even though the mission is meant to be a standalone mission, we highly suggest waiting until after you have played at least one or two of the main campaign missions, just to make sure you are used to the game’s various controls. This will make your mission easier, which will allow you to enjoy the experience even more. You can return to our Sniper Elite 4 guide for even more articles like this.
