Many players have reported having issues with their connection to the server, including one particularly confusing error, the Kiwi Beard error in Sea of Thieves. What Does Kiwi Beard Error Mean in Sea of Thieves?

Players can receive the Kiwi Beard error for quite a few different reasons.

  • The game’s servers are offline, which means Rare and Xbox aren’t running a session right now, which means you won’t be able to play Sea of Thieves until a play session is started.
  • There is more than one gamertag signed into your Xbox. You’ll need to sign out of all the other accounts and then launch the game on your main account.
  • You aren’t cleared to play in the Sea of Thieves scale test. You can register as an Xbox Insider to get invited into the scale tests and try out the game. Make sure to keep an eye on the email that you registered with.
