Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Bear Pelt Guide – How to Get It

Well, if you reckon that the best way to find a Legendary Bear Pelt is to kill a Legendary Bear, then you’re about halfway there. Yes, you will have to kill a big bear, that’s not even a debate. However, the very specific ursine that you’ll have to kill is called the Baharati Grizzly Bear. To even get a sniff of this big boy, though, you’re going to have to have already finished the quest Exit Pursued By a Bruised Ego. You’ll gain access to this quest in Chapter 2 of the game.

Once you’ve completed Exit Pursued By a Bruised Ego, you’ll find that the Baharati Grizzly Bear will be kicking around in Grizzlies East, just ready for you to stick a bullet between its eyes. Now, this bear is going to get pretty pissed, but killing it will let you skin it and to obtain, yes, the Legendary Bear Pelt.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Bear Pelt Guide – Using the Pelt

So, the bad news is that you can’t pawn off the pelt in exchange for food or a whole lot of cash. But, you can bring it to the Trapper. He’s in Saint Denis, and his whole thing is that he can basically make you armor out of said Legendary Bear Pelt. You can craft the following items:

  • Legendary Bear Coat
  • Legendary Bear Head Hat
  • Legendary Bear Roper

Getting those three armor pieces is going to set you back by $102, and you’re going to need not only Legendary Bear Pelts but also a Perfect Bison Pelt and a Perfect Bull Hide to complete the items. We reckon they’re worth it as far as armor goes, so why not crack into that? With our Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Bear Pelt guide to refer to, getting at least half of those materials should be pretty easy. Curious about anything else in Red Dead Redemption 2?
