Rockstar has brought back the gold medal rating system for Red Dead Redemption 2’s single player missions and quests. Upon completing a mission, players are given a rating based on whether or not certain objective requirements were met. Each mission will grant a bronze, silver, or gold medal, with the latter being the highest rank. Players can improve their score for missions they have already completed by repeating the missions and completing specific requirements. This guide will explain how to revisit and replay previous missions in Red Dead Redemption 2 to earn a higher rating.
How to Replay Missions for a Gold Rating
Upon finishing a mission in Red Dead Redemption 2, the game will rate your performance based on how well you played and whether certain requirements were met. Ideally, you’ll want to earn a gold rating, as this is the highest you can achieve for a mission.
If you want to go for gold, you can do so by replaying missions that you’ve previously completed, making sure to meet the necessary requirements to earn a higher rating. To replay a mission, simply open your menu and navigate to the Story section under Progress.
In this section of the menu, you can browse through the missions you have already completed, as well as view the highest rating you’ve achieved for each. From the list of chapters, select the story mission that you would like to replay. Agree to the following warning prompt, then proceed to the mission.
When replaying missions in Red Dead Redemption 2 to earn a gold rank, try to play the mission as clean as possible, keeping any specified mission objectives in mind. Skip the cutscenes and try to make every shot count during combat. Be mindful of the mission requirements when going for a gold run, and you’ll be able to fully complete each quest in no time.
